The Federal Government Commissioner for Matters Relating to Persons with Disabilities has an arbitration service in accordance with Section 16 BGG (Equal Opportunities for Persons with Disabilities Act). The arbitration service is tasked with resolving conflicts between people with disabilities and Federal public bodies.
You can involve on the arbitration service if you are not satisfied with the response of the above-mentioned contact option. This is not about finding winners or losers. Rather, the aim is to find a solution to a problem together out of court with the help of the arbitration service.
The arbitration procedure is free of charge. You do not need legal counsel either.
You will find all information on the arbitration procedure on the arbitration service's website, where you can read about how an arbitration procedure works and how to submit a request for arbitration. You can also submit the application in easy-to-read language or in German Sign Language (Deutsche Gebärdensprache, DGS).
