Declaration on accessibility

The Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs, which is responsible for the website, endeavours to make its website accessible in accordance with the national legislation implementing Directive (EU) 2016/2102 of the European Parliament and of the Council.

This declaration on accessibility (Dated: 08.07.2020) applies to the version of the website www.civic-innovation.de currently available online.

This website is currently being revised in accordance with the requirements of Barrierefreie-Informationstechnik-Verordnung (BITV) 2.0 and is currently non-accessible. A WCAG test for compliance with the requirements of BITV 2.0 will be conducted for the website by 31.01.2021 and the test results will be published here. The results of the WCAG test will be taken into account for later revisions.

The accessibility requirements result from Sections 3 (1) to (4) and (4) of BITV 2.0, which was issued on the basis of Section 12d BGG (Equal Opportunities for Persons with Disabilities Act).

Arbitration procedure

The Federal Government Commissioner for Matters Relating to Persons with Disabilities has an arbitration service in accordance with Section 16 BGG (Equal Opportunities for Persons with Disabilities Act). The arbitration service is tasked with resolving conflicts between people with disabilities and Federal public bodies.

You can involve on the arbitration service if you are not satisfied with the response of the above-mentioned contact option. This is not about finding winners or losers. Rather, the aim is to find a solution to a problem together out of court with the help of the arbitration service.

The arbitration procedure is free of charge. You do not need legal counsel either.

You will find all information on the arbitration procedure on the arbitration service's website, where you can read about how an arbitration procedure works and how to submit a request for arbitration. You can also submit the application in easy-to-read language or in German Sign Language (Deutsche Gebärdensprache, DGS).
