Tangible and explainable artificial intelligence (AI) for the common good ‒ this is the focus of a series of workshops at the Open Innovation Lab. The first meeting will be held on 21 February 2024. Be a part of it!

How can AI get out of the technology niche and into the middle of society, becoming usable for as many people as possible in terms of the environment, health, work, mobility or any other areas? At our ‘Speed Date your AIdea! – improve the world with your idea’ workshop at re:publica 2022, random groups of participants gathered and developed their ideas for AI providing benefits for the common good together.

On 8 February 2022, the most promising project drafts for AI providing benefits for the common good will be awarded during the award ceremony of the second round of the Civic Innovation Platform’s idea contest. To participate, simply use our online tool to register for the virtual award ceremony!

The best ideas submitted to the Civic Innovation Platform idea contest will be distinguished on 10 March 2021. At the virtual award ceremony, ideas for the innovative use of AI that benefit the common good will be awarded up to 20,000 euros each.
