Why are you a strong team?

Not only do we tick the same way and have the same goals and ideas, we also root for the same football team, SC Freiburg. This connects us even more and thanks to our experiences as fans, which are not always easy with SC, we also gain a thick skin and learn trust and resilience.

Explain your idea in three sentences.

We wish to allow locals and guests who are mobility-impaired to have a larger and more pleasing recreation experience by selecting and collating relevant information intelligently. We plan to link the variety of data in two databases and combine the results individually in the way that they are needed. If, for example, a wheelchair user is looking for a barrier-free path, he or she will receive a suggestion for one as well as a matching barrier-free tavern to stop by at.

What makes your idea special?

Good question … In all actual fact, the idea is not that special. Actually, it should be seen as a matter of course! When you look at it this way, it is special because we are actually implementing what we think should be par for the course, that is, providing the best information possible for individual impairments, and ensuring better recreation.

What are the next steps?

With this boost of esteem from the contest, we are now thinking about 'Ask Black Forest Marie' in even bigger terms. The technical implementation is under way and we are simultaneously considering how we can populate the databases with high-quality information. We wish to bring a community to life.
